Battlers

Flyers have had several chances to quit, but chose otherwise.

Big timer

Chris Pronger is everyplace. He's not going to let the Flyers go quietly.

Must have been loud

Could Peter Laviolette have unloaded one of his famous rants between the first and second periods?

What better way?

This, from the TD Garden press notes: "To celebrate the start of Round 2 of the 2010 Stanley Cup playoffs, the Bruins will be giving away Mass. Lottery Bruins Instant Game Tickets at turnstiles to fans attending today's game."

Of course they are.

What better way to "celebrate" anything, then to gamble?

Uh oh

Flyers might be in trouble, because Bruins fans are waving towels. And that always helps the home team.

no surprise

I say it's time to retire Welcome to the Jungle. That goes for every sport. That noise hasn't intimidated anybody since Wayne Gretzky was on the power play.

in the ballpark

Beautiful, perfect spring-like day in Boston and the Flyers and Bruins are playing indoors. But when it was 1 degree outside, they were sent across town to a rickety, tourist-trap ballpark where all the fans had to wear ski masks to avoid frostbite.
